About this Cat
Sheldon is the sweetest cat and a volunteer favorite. The volunteers know that if Sheldon is up high, he will jump right onto your shoulder for a snuggle and to be close to you. He's not the cutest cat around; he's grimmy, missing an eye, squints and has a dirty face, needs teeth removed, can't really wash himself, and is not always the best at using the litter box, but boy, does he have the biggest heart!! He probably doesn't have a lot of time left with a grade 3/6 heart murmur (who knows?) but what we do know is he deserves all the best while he's here. It has clearly but a rough life of struggles for this kind-hearted fella and he now seeks all the love he can get! He always gives the volunteers a smile, maybe he will make you smile too! Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sheldon's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sheldon was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sheldon’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Sheldon’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sheldon’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
