6/28/25 update: Gabbi has been stolen by a foster we thought we could trust with her care …for everyone who has applied in the last week, please note we are working on getting her returned to the rescue and are working with an attorney. Her foster, who works at CHOC as a nurse, is not handling this maturely and is refusing to give our dog back. Gabbi is a 3-year-old cutie weighs in at just 11 lbs and has a heart as big as her ears. Gabbi may be a little bashful at first, but once she feels safe, she’s incredibly sweet and loyal. She’s still building her confidence—especially on walks—so she’s looking for a patient, understanding home that can continue to help her blossom. Her foster mom is doing an amazing job at celebrating her small wins! Gabbi thrives in a calm, low-traffic environment and would do best in an adults-only home (or one with respectful teens 14+). She's not a fit for a busy household, but she’ll shine in a quieter home where she can truly bond with her people. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Gabbi- STOLEN's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Gabbi- STOLEN was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Gabbi- STOLEN’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Gabbi- STOLEN’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund.
