About this Dog
Animal Profile: Kelly is a 2-year-old 60 lb spayed female Shepherd mix who is dog and people-friendly. She was getting stressed in the kennel but did well on a temperament test with a male pit bull. We will share more info as we get to know her in foster care. Foster Update: Kelly has been in rescue for almost 2 years with only one application, adoption and return. Kelly was adopted and returned due to her being possessive with toys towards the other dog in the home but this can be easily managed with the right person. Kelly has been fostered for the past 8 months by Double Down Dog Training on Whidbey Island and still looking for someone to give her the love and attention she deserves. Kelly can live successfully with other dogs as long as the owner is willing to leave toy play as an intimate experience as she tend to be very guarded over her toys. She has an exuberant play style and is an overall exuberant pup but she can relax when you do and does not pester (expect maybe for pets). She currently shares space with an other dogs and does well with them with the proper leadership and management. Kelly has many typical shepherd attributes including bonding intensely to her people and loves to be on the go. She can be reactive on leash so her handler will need to be open to learning the ropes. Her recall is impeccable. She swims, fetches and adores affection. She has thus far lives her entire life as a discarded dog and we really hope to find her a committed owner that will make room for her when she can be extra. Lifetime training support is provided. Adopter Profile: Large breed experience preferred Single family residence with fenced yard preferred OK as only dog or with resident dog(s) Commitment to training Adoption Info: The adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, deworming, microchip and registration, and vet exam. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. Animal History: Kelly was listed for euthanasia at the Moreno Valley Shelter in California due to overcrowding. She arrived in Seattle on Oct. 8, 2023.

Please begin the process of claiming Kelly's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Kelly was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Kelly’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
