While I can be a bit on the shy side at first, I adapt well to new environments, especially when given the chance to explore them gradually. You see, I’ve been known to warm up quickly to new friends—especially the wonderful shelter staff and volunteers who take the time to get to know me. I thrive on companionship and enjoy being outdoors. Whether you prefer a brisk run, a leisurely walk, or just a cozy stroll, I’ll be right by your side, happy as can be. I don’t require constant attention, but I do love being nearby, soaking up all the love and cuddles you have to offer. Treats? Yes, please! I’m a total pro at taking them gently from your hand. If you have other pets at home, I think a meet-and-greet would be a great idea, as I can be a bit particular about my doggy buddies. I’m generally friendly with most people, but I’ll admit I can be cautious around unfamiliar men, so gradual introductions are key. Given my temperament, I believe I would thrive in a home with adults or older kids who can give me the patience I need to adjust. I might get overlooked sometimes, but once you give me a chance, I’ll show you just how affectionate and loyal I can be. Adopt Steelix and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Steelix's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Steelix was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Steelix’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Steelix’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
