About this Dog
I escaped execution at the pound, but for the next three years, I lived in a boarding facility. Basically—a jail cell, simply because no foster was available. I hadn’t done anything wrong. My only “crime” was existing. At one point, I was sent to a board-and-train program. The idea was that if I got professional training, it might improve my chances of getting adopted. Since I’m a mix of smart breeds, I thrived. I became the star trainee—beloved by the trainer and fully ready for a real home. But the training facility was far from West LA, which meant I couldn’t attend adoption events, which means I never had a chance for potential adopters to meet me. Solely relying on online promotion had failed. So, recently, one of the awesome volunteers took me home to foster me. He didn’t want me sitting in a kennel anymore, and I’ll always be grateful for that. But here’s the thing—there’s another dog who needs him now. She has serious issues and requires a very dedicated foster. So, as soon as I find a new foster (or even better, a forever home), she’ll take my place. Meanwhile, she is in a jail cell, and I feel responsible. The team doesn’t want to send me back to the kennel. I’ve come too far for that. But I can’t stay where I am much longer either. I need a soft landing—a stable home with someone who sees me. To be honest, I’ve grown tired of being in limbo. I’ve done everything that’s ever been asked of me. I’ve waited, learned, adjusted—and waited some more. I’m not asking for much. I just want a home I can call my own. A person who sees me as their family and will never let me go. Please come meet me at the adoption event, fall in love with me, and adopt me. If you are interested in meeting Lexi, please download the Adoption Questionnaire, fill it out and email it back to us at [email protected] or fax (310) 362-0321. You can also meet this and/or other available dogs at our weekend adoptions. [Lexi is about 5 years old and weighs 60 lbs.] (2208)

Adopt Lexi and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Lexi's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Lexi's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Lexi, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Lexi's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lexi was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lexi’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the Lexi’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lexi’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
