Name: Rizzo Best Guess for Breed: Lab mix Best Guess for Age: 6.5 years as of June 2025 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 45 lbs Currently Living at: DC area home All about Rizzo: Rizzo was a tiny 10-pound puppy when she arrived into our care in the spring of 2019, and she was quickly adopted out. She has been in a loving home for six years. Through no fault of her own, she now needs a new home. They say she loves loves her long sniffy walks, is good on leash, and responds well to cues. In the home, she was free roam - they didn't use a crate. She had her bed and her humans used the cue "home base" to send her to the bed. Above all - her previous humans say she loves people! She thrives on being around humans, on interacting with them. She enjoys meeting people of all ages, including kids. The single most important thing, to her, is spending time with her people, and that's what she is looking for in her new home. She also has a dog walker in the DMV area who would be happy to continue working with her and who offers boarding. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Rizzo's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Rizzo was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Rizzo’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
