About this Dog

I rescued pita almost 6 months ago. His before picture is how I got him. I brought him home he got his first hair cut in forever. I have had him neutered and he is up to date on shots. He has been microchip as well. Mr Max is learning to go potty outside and doing very well. The vet estimated his age to be between 2-4 years old. I think max was very neglected but it doesn’t stop him from wanting to be a lapdog. He likes to play and sleep on your arm. Max does have problems in a house with too many people. He is perfect around me and my 14 year old grandson but he becomes aggressive when more people are near us. Especially while you are sleeping. I think max might have been an elderly person dog and would do his best with a single person or even a couple. Max doesn’t mind kids I just don’t really trust him yet with that. He has bit my daughter in his defense she came into my room and came to close to me. I wish I could further work with him because he is a loving dog that I know with lots of love and training make someone a very good companion and best friend. My intention was to keep max but my daughter is scared of him now. I refuse to take him to a shelter. I really am looking for a loving home for him. Maybe a lonely person who needs this lonely dog

How will pita receive the contribution?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the pita, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming pita's contribution here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and pita was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, pita’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the pita’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, pita’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
