About this Dog
Boi Boi is a female, black German Shepherd about 1 and a half years old. She has a sweet temperament and very friendly to people! She learns training commands quickly and is very intelligent and obedient. We adopted her from the local shelter five months ago. The local shelter had no background information on her other than telling us she had perviously been good with children but she seems to be previously abused and neglected. Unfortunately, she does not get along with our other two dogs and can be aggressive towards other dogs. We have crate trained her, taught her commands (sit, lay down, leash trained) and potty trained her. She is very friendly to people just not dogs! She would be great for someone living without other animals. She has not been around children under the age of 18 or cats in our home. She weighs about 75 lbs. and has been spayed and up to date on all shots. I have proof of shots and rabies vaccination. She is currently on heart worm treatment and has an appointment set in January to be tested again to check if the heart worms are gone. We want to find her a loving home where she is provided the full attention she deserves. We refused to take her back to the shelter due to the fear of her being euthanized due to her aggression towards other dogs.

How will Boi Boi receive the contribution?

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Boi Boi was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Boi Boi’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Boi Boi’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Boi Boi’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
