About this Cat
Venere is a 4-year-old spayed female cat who has always lived exclusively indoors and has always been deeply loved. Unfortunately, over the past few years she has suffered from recurring urinary tract infections (cystitis), the latest of which was particularly severe and required several stays at the veterinary hospital. Thankfully, she is now physically well. We have all of her veterinary records confirming that the infection has been completely resolved. The problem, however, is behavioural. Venere is a very sensitive and anxious cat, and according to the veterinarians, the stress of living with our other cat (her sister) is the main cause of her recurring cystitis. Since her last hospitalisation, the situation has become much worse, and she can no longer tolerate her sister's presence. We have tried everything the vets recommended, including anti-anxiety medication, but unfortunately Venere refuses all forms of treatment. At the moment, she is still staying at the veterinary hospital because we are no longer able to manage the situation safely at home, and the costs are becoming overwhelming. With broken hearts, we are looking for a very special person who can offer her a calm, loving home where she can be the only cat.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and this cat was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, this cat’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the this cat’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, this cat’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
