About this Dog
It is with a heavy heart that my partner and I are having to find Buddy a new loving home. He is a Belgian Malinois cross breed originally rescued from Romania. Buddy has a great personality with the best intentions but has a nervousness and anxiety from being a Romanian rescue (He has been prescribed fluxotine once a day). He is reactive towards other dogs on walks (although he is friendly once he is able to get to know other dogs), he is protective of the home and has previously shown aggression towards new people. 90% of the time he is a loving dog but recently reacted aggressively towards one of the owners which has affected our day to day well being. He is loved and this decision to rehome has not been an easy one but we feel he would perhaps thrive better elsewhere (Ideally with a big outdoor space for him to run around in). Buddy has previously ‘nipped’ 2 people after showing aggression towards them. Once because someone took a toy away from Buddy when he was very young and secondly as it was a new person in the house. Unfortunately Buddy most recently showed similar aggression towards one of his owners, although there has been no ‘bite’ as such, we’ve seen these signs as a warning. As mentioned, on a day to day basis he is 90% fine and a lovely dog to have around. He will sit with you and paw you for stokes and he loves to sleep on your bed but the above mentioned is for total transparency and honesty. We believe that Buddy hasn’t come to suit his environment here after 3 years with us (and having tried several training/behavioural lessons). We think Buddy would suit a lot of outdoors space and would advise a home without children.

After verifying the adoption, Buddy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Buddy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Buddy’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Buddy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Buddy’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
