Personality: Elinore is incredibly friendly with people, very playful and full of energy. She loves to run, play and explore. She is vocal when frustrated, but more than happy to curl up next to you and spend time with you. She is very demonstrative of her feelings and openly show her affection for her humans.
Good with children: Yes, with supervision She is friendly with children, but her size and enthusiasm may intimidate or accidentally harm small children (knocking them over, etc.).
Good with animals: No While not actively aggressive towards other dogs, she does demand that other animals maintain their distance. She’s gotten along with our boxer mix with only a few fights (that did draw blood), but once we started feeding them separately those fights ended. She will also display jealousy toward other dogs that receive affection from you.
History: We rescued her about 7 months ago. She easily settled into our home with the expected adjustment difficulty for introducing a new dog to the household. She is completely house-broken, and knows how to “come”, “sit”, “lie down” and “shake”. That said – she will not “come” unless she feels like it.
She loves to run, and once she got bored of our back yard, she dug her way out of the 6ft privacy fence to explore the neighborhood. Now that she knows she can get out, there’s no stopping her.

How will Elinore receive the contribution?

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Elinore was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Elinore’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Elinore’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Elinore’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
