Hello, My name is Reginald Carter, and I’m reaching out because I desperately need to find a wonderful new home for my dog, Parker. This isn’t a decision I’m making lightly — my girlfriend and I recently broke up, and the move that followed left us in places that unfortunately don’t allow dogs of Parker’s size. He deserves a stable and loving home, and I want to make sure he finds one. Parker is a 6-year-old Great Pyrenees / German Shepherd / Brindle Pit mix. He’s got a striking, handsome look — a real head-turner — and a big, energetic personality to match. He loves to run (he gets the zoomies often) , play fetch, and explore, so he’d do best with someone who can keep up with him or give him regular exercise. One thing I want to highlight: Parker is especially good with middle age and older adults. He’s gentle, attentive, and calm around them in a way that stands out, even with all his energy elsewhere. He’d be a wonderful companion in a home where someone wants a loyal, affectionate presence in the home. I’m reaching out to as many No Kill shelters as I can because I want Parker’s next chapter to be handled with care, and I trust No Kill organizations who prioritize finding the right long-term match over a quick placement. How will Parker receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Parker, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Parker's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Parker was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Parker’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Parker’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Parker’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
