Gwen is a precious little Malshi (Maltese/shih tzu mix) that was dumped down a country road big pregnant. We think she was a puppy mill dump. She had her 3 little puppies the day she was brought to us from the Camden shelter. She is so sweet and cute and just wants attention. She was the best little mom to her babies and very protective. They are now weaned, and momma is getting vetted herself and then will be ready for adoption. She is heart worm positive so will have to go through treatment after she is spayed. She loves toys and most especially balls. She is super smart and housebroken. She is crate trained and is such a good little dog. She just needs someone to love and protect her and never let her get abused again. Dr Hendershott told us she has pellets embedded in her skull and shoulders from being repeatedly shot with a pellet rifle. :/ People can be so cruel. So, if you want to be her loving guardian and show her what love really looks like she will be the best friend you could ever wish to have :) All of our adoptable animals are up to date on routine vaccinations, microchipped and spayed or neutered. If the animal is too young a certificate for the spay/neuter is included in the adoption fee. Please CLICK HERE to complete our online adoption application. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Gwendolyn (Gwen) was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Gwendolyn (Gwen)’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Gwendolyn (Gwen)’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Gwendolyn (Gwen)’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
