About this Dog
Ready to Fall for Izzy? Your Future Shadow, Walking Partner and Snuggle Buddy. Some dogs bounce into your life like fireworks. Izzy? She tiptoes in, soft and enchanting, and before you know it, you’re completely in love. If you’ve got a soft spot for gentle souls and a heart big enough to help one shine, then read on my friend! She’s sweet, smart, and oh-so-worth it. One special person is all she needs. Izzy truly prefers the company of women, though with enough patience and wooing, she’ll also warm up to gentle-hearted men. She’s still learning to feel comfortable around children, so a home with more mature and calm family members is best for now. This gorgeous 2-year-old Lab mix has been waiting for the right person to find her. At 50 lbs, Izzy is that “just right” size: big enough for adventures, small enough for cuddles. Her favorite place in the world? Curled up next to you or nestled beside a doggy friend she trusts. She’d thrive in a suburban home with a steady rhythm and another happy, confident dog to help her continue blooming. She’s peacefully coexisting with cats, sometimes ignoring them, sometimes not so politely stepping over them on her way to the best cuddle spot. Izzy is a quiet spirit, so sweet and occasionally a real comedian. She’s come so far already. Having anxiety, she is expanding her bravery bubble a little bit every day. She now gladly rides in the car, strolls curiously through remote parks, and practices her leash manners on quiet walks. She knows “sit,” and is learning “stay,” “wait,” “place,” “heel,” “walk,” “left,” and “right,”. She eagerly anticipates her meals, heading outside to potty, then bouncing about as bowls are filled, finally sitting and waiting for permission to eat when her meal is delivered. She’s also crate-trained, house-trained, and sleeps peacefully beside you in bed or at the bedroom door, always keeping gentle watch. Loud noises like thunder or fireworks can still rattle her (who can blame her?), but calm chews, Rescue Remedy, and a loud TV help her feel safe. Baths? Rain? Not her favorite. But we’re holding out hope that one day she’ll discover the joy of splashing in puddles. Izzy is what we lovingly call a “yo-yo dog”: she bravely stretches her wings, explores a little, and then zips right back to your side for safety and reassurance. Yet every step she takes is a step forward, and with your love, she’ll keep soaring higher. Let’s start the conversation, she’s ready when you are.

100% of Izzy's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Izzy.
Adopt Izzy and Receive Izzy's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Izzy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Izzy's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Izzy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Izzy's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Izzy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Izzy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Izzy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Izzy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
