About this Dog
Shay is a gentle, shy at first Elegant Husky/Lab mix. I’d say she needs to be with someone who has handled shy dogs before. With shy dogs you know they need to be fostered by you first so you can see their true personality. They are not going to show you their personality right away. She does her best to follow your lead, always wanting to please, Shay Shay is extremely kind with dogs large and small, pups, cats and people. She wants to sleep very close to you. Shay would like to be in a family that can appreciate and enjoy her calm, gentle behavior and brag on her too. Shay, Shay is a bit on the side of careful and bashful with anything new. She trusts you whole heartedly once she knows you are on her side with love, compassion and affection. Believe it or not she does not shed, or if so it is hard see. Shay is adjusting to adoption events where she is a little intimidated but she’s getting more and more used to it. The best thing I can say about her is she is very kind to all the family pets in my home and she’s great with the adults. We have no children in the home but at adoption event she is very humble with children too. She is wonderful with my Chihuahua and my small 20 lb new foster. He plays with her constantly and she plays so sweet with him. He trust her wholeheartedly and so do I. Hope to see you soon. Shay is at PetSmart adoptions in the Woodlands area almost every weekend. We can also schedule a meet and greet. I’d love this dog for my own, but it is my job to find her a loving home in order to help another dog just like her get off the streets or out of danger. Shay is so lucky ❤️ PLEASE CONSIDER FOSTERING THIS SHY BABY. She is shy only at her adoptions. Once you take her home as a foster to adopt, you will want to keep her, she is just intimidated by the large crowds at the adoption events. As time goes on, she has and will adjust but I just hate it’s a weakness of hers. Other than nerves at an adoption event, she’s an Excellent DOG! Also so far Shay Shay does have car sickness, this too upsets her heading to adoption events, poor baby

Adopt Shay Shay and Receive Shay Shay's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Shay Shay's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Shay Shay's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Shay Shay, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Shay Shay's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Shay Shay was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Shay Shay’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Shay Shay’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Shay Shay’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
