NALA came to us as an emergency case. Her family was actually moving out of their rental home and leaving her locked in the garage but the neighbors intervened. Unfortunately this is very common here in San Antonio, TX. Of course, NALA was scared and confused and looking for some familiar faces but they disappeared on her and treated her like trash. What we have learned so far is that she is simple a soft and sweet girl who just wants to receive love. She is in a temporary foster home with 2 other dogs and she is having a good time playing and enjoying the attention she is receiving. We would like to get her adopted but we will also consider a foster-to-adopt option. NALA is 3 years old and very small, she just needs some food to help her grow as she is a bit underweight but she is healthy. She will come to you medically vetted and her medical records come with her. We provide everything for our new fosters to make sure they are healthy and good pet companions before they go to their new homes. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Nala Rottweiler was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Nala Rottweiler’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Nala Rottweiler’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Nala Rottweiler’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
