Meet Lovely Lucy, female 1 year old Short Hair Pointer Lab mix which makes her very loyal, sweet and friendly. She is spayed, heartworm free, all shots done, including rattlesnake and has 6 months supply of flea and tick meds. She was abandoned in my neighborhood and may have had a tussle with another animal as her knee was strained, but she is on the road to health and can run, run, run! She also sits, stays, has learned to jump over posts, and hopped right into the tub for her bath. She is learning to not pull on a leash and getting better everyday. She enjoys sitting on a porch with the water hose running around her while she laps up the water. She is not aggressive, loves all ages, all people, dogs and cats. She needs a big yard to play with her favorite toys and plenty of love because she deserves it. She weighs 70 pounds.Lucy is in obedience training and is doing great!!!! For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lovely Lucy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lovely Lucy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Lovely Lucy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lovely Lucy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
