About this Dog
Meatball Mac is an energetic 10 year old looking for a quiet but active household. He is quite the cuddler and will find a way to snuggle up to you regardless of the situation. His skills also lie in tug of war and being a guard dog and he has saved his parents from such horrors as a plastic bag, the Roomba, someone walking their dog, and the dishwasher. He is truly a fearless and relentless protector. Despite being an old man, he is also quite the opera singer. He loves to join in on a good howl with a bark only a mother could love and has quite the selection of "Chihuahua grumbles" to accompany his daily activities. Mr. Mac came into our rescue with a good amount of anxiety. Through a lot of training and a daily dose of anxiety meds, he has now learned to cope with his feelings. He is still not afraid to let you know when he's uncomfortable, but his threshold for that is much higher and he's very polite about it. He will need a home that is willing to continue his training and remove him from stressful situations when the need arises. If you're looking for a well-seasoned gentleman that is always down for a walk or some sun-bathing and are willing to fall in love with his quirks, then Meatball Mac may be the guy for you!

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Meatball Mac was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Meatball Mac’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Meatball Mac’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Meatball Mac’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
