About this Dog

Lucky is a sweet girl who enjoys her routine. She likes to sleep ALL day and then play in the evenings. She enjoys chew toys, tug of war, fetch, chasing squirrels, sunbathing, and observing the world. She does not like other dogs very much, so no dog parks or siblings for her. She's never been around kids, but she probably won't like them either due to her anxiety, which she takes medication for. She is crate-trained, house-trained, and leash-trained. Her crate is her safe space for when she's feeling uneasy. She loves a puzzle toy and a frozen Toppl chew. Lucky is one of the most intelligent dogs I've ever met. We bought our first home and started a construction business within the last couple of years while we have had her, so we have been unable to give her the full attention she needs. She lived with our Husky for two years. They had problems together at the beginning months. Things got better for about a year when we started training with her, but tensions between our dogs got worse in the last couple of months. Tensions mainly with toys, especially new ones introduced into the house, and sometimes food guarding (with Dogs, we have not seen any food aggression towards humans). She must be an only dog or in a home with a very experienced trainer or dog rehabilitator. It's possible that with a lot of work, she may be able to interact with other dogs one day, but unfortunately, we lack the time and resources to give her that. Commands Lucky Knows: -sit -lie down -up(jump) -hug(put paws on my belly) -fetch(jump up to grab toy from hand) -touch(boop hand) -paw -scratch(on a nail grind pad) -where's your toy?(stop what you're doing and go pick up a toy) -go to bed(lay down on nearest bed or rug) -drop(she knows this one but she's not very good at it) We have crates/beds/bowls/etc that you'll need.

Adopt Lucky and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Lucky's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Lucky receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Lucky, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Lucky's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lucky was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lucky’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What is Dogecoin?

"The fun and friendly internet currency."

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Lucky’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lucky’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
