About this Dog
** COURTESY POST ** ** This animal is NOT at the Rowlett Animal Shelter, so please do not inquire with them ** ** FOR INFORMATION, PLEASE CONTACT Melody Ostman; [email protected]; 214-766-2457 ** I live in on a dead-end road in a rural unincorporated area outside of Ferris, TX. When stray dogs or neighbor's dogs move through, they do just that move through. However, i n March of 2023 these two dogs showed up and hung around for more than a couple weeks. Unfortunately, this property has no fence or gates and I have not been able to keep them safe or can control where they go. I have been in fear they would get shot, poisoned or run over since I live off a state highway. Both are chipped. They had a female owner who says she gave them to someone and does not want them back but would not say who she gave them to. When they showed up on our dead-end road, it was clear they were dumped. Dumped dogs stay in the area they were dumped and is why they hung around here. They do seem to respond to females since their first human was a female. The folks at the place I called about the chip gave me this information. -both dogs were adopted at 6 months old and have been together since they were 6 months old. -Both were rescues, one from Ft Worth and the other was from Dallas -Female mastiff mix 03-07-2022 -male great dane mix 03-24-2022 -Both were spay/neutered at the shelters before they were adopted -they were inside dogs, so the chip owner said, so they are house trained. -They get along with other dogs, people and children. My granddaughter is 5 yr old and they bring their dog and there have not been any issues -the female will hold back if she's not familiar with you and will bark. She lets the male, who knows no strangers, approach new situation. Once she sees the coast is clear she'll be right up in the middle of needing attention. -the male is so laid back, let's the female do her thing weather eating or getting attention and is very patient! -Both are pure LOVE muffins -Both are very loyal, stays around -They both understand basic commands like sit, down and understands some hand gestures, I put my hand up for stop and the both sit at attention great! Odie is part of a bonded pair with Kitty and they have been together since six months of age so would really like them to find a home together.

Adopt Odie and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Odie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Odie's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Odie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Odie's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Odie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Odie’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the Odie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Odie’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
