When Calliope came into the shelter as a stray on 8/24/23 we were able to make contact with her owner. Unfortunately, they werenât in a position to be able to care for her, so they did not reclaim her. Now this sweet girl is overflowing with love and just looking for someone to give it to! She has a lower energy level, and is very affectionate. Sheâll take all the human friends she can get! She loves toys and treats, and both make her very happy. She already knows how to sit, shake, lay, and give paw on command and will happily do so as often as you ask. Sheâs a great leash walker who is best described as calm and gentle.Cuando Calliope llegó al refugio como perrita callejera el 24/8/23, pudimos contactar con su dueña. Desafortunadamente, no estaban en condiciones de cuidarla, asà que no la reclamaron. ¡Ahora esta dulce perrita rebosa de amor y solo busca a alguien a quien dárselo! Tiene menos energÃa y es muy cariñosa. ¡Acepta a todos los amigos humanos que pueda! Le encantan los juguetes y las golosinas, y ambos la hacen muy feliz. Ya sabe sentarse, dar la pata, tumbarse y dar la pata cuando se le ordena, y lo hará con gusto siempre que se le pida. Pasea muy bien con correa; se la describe como tranquila y gentil.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and CALLIOPE was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, CALLIOPE’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the CALLIOPE’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, CALLIOPE’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
