Meet Maggie! She is an approximately 12 year old, female, Maltese mix who weighs under 15lbs. She was found off Wayne Drive in Rockwall on 07/11/2025 and never reclaimed. She is a bit stand offish and currently does not enjoy being groomed. She came to us matted and covered in grass burrs. RAC staff, with the help of a professional groomer, have attempted to relieve her of some of her stress involving her hair and have made slow progress but have not completely resolved her discomfort. She is staying strong and is happy to hang out with her people! She has not been introduced to other dogs so a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure they get along. Maggie is in need of a loving family who has the time and patience to help her relax and feel safe in her golden years! Her adoption fee is $125 and that includes her spay, microchip, rabies vaccination, basic boosters, and heartworm test. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Maggie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Maggie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Maggie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Maggie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
