About this Dog
He will be 6 yrs old at time of rehoming, weight currently is 110 lbs. All he knows is us (his owners) and his Akita little brother Sam (4 yrs old/approx 115 lbs.) at time of rehoming. He is definitely a guard dog and looks out for us. He needs to be with gsd lovers, that understand the characteristics of a German shepherd. That behavior places him in a non-social status. Once he gets to know you and know that you are a good person, he is very loyal, to you! It would be the ideal home if he could keep his bond with his little brother and be a two-some rehoming. Also, it would be so nice for the two to have a yard to be able to roam around, comfortably. We will be retiring and will not be able to afford him/them financially :( Also, we intend to move into an apartment, so it would not be fair to a large breed dog. Both their health is great! We have had no issues, at all, with them. At this age of 6 yrs.old, Ringo has a bit of hip dysplasia. He is very active and would love to have middle aged children to play catch with. He has a 4 yr. old brother, Sam, (Akita breed) that HAS to be adopted along with him. They are like 2 peas in a pod. Sam is very passive and will lick you to death, with affection!

Adopt Ringo and Receive Ringo's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Ringo's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

How will Ringo receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Ringo, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Ringo's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ringo was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ringo’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Ringo’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Ringo’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
