About this Dog
Blu is protective over his owners when it is bedtime - if he gets on the bed before the other dogs he will not let them in bed and will growl or attack them if they approach it and has been known to fight the other dogs if they jump up on the bed and he is already asleep. He is aggressive towards other dogs when he has a treat. Blu is aggressive when he is tired - if it is time to go to bed or he is taking a nap he will not always go to his crate on his own, sometimes if you try to grab his collar when he is sitting or laying down he will growl and when the other dogs come in the room he will attack them. Blu is aggressively playful towards humans - he will jump when he is excited (even when trying to train otherwise), he will nip at your bottom if you walk away as he is excited to see you, if you are sitting he will get in your face and nip at you to get your attention and sometimes it is harder than he thinks it is He will not always release items from his mouth he is not supposed to have, if you try to get him to "drop it" most of the time he does but some times he growls and then the other dogs come in and they will end up fighting. He would benefit from a single pet environment and can be very loving, I am just to scare to have him in our home around me, my children, and my other dogs because he has already attacked and drawn blood on them and I do not want it to happen to us. We have had a mastiff and rottweilers before and can handle large/typically aggressive breed dogs but this one makes it unbearable to live in our household without fear of him. He has had surgery on both eyes for cherry eye and he has had his stomach sewn so it does not turn as he gets older. He was purchased from a breeder that considered him the runt and allowed him to get attacked by other dogs so, we will not contact that breeder to give him back.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Blu was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Blu’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Blu’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Blu’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
