About this Dog
Abel is about 2 years old. He has all of his shots and does not require any additional medical attention (other than for road trips in a car). He is the biggest morning cuddle buddy and is so sweet! I’m not sure how he would act with toddlers, but he’s great with kids despite his larger size. He loves playing with balls and Kongs, but isn’t very good at playing fetch haha. I’ve never had any issues with him chewing on things; he can be a pretty lazy dog but rarely passes up opportunities to play. Abel loves meeting new people. He rarely barks, but will whine instead. He is potty trained (unless he’s sick- then the poor thing just can’t hold it) and will typically try to get your attention when he needs to go outside. He responds to basic commands and likes shaking people’s hands- especially when he knows a treat is to follow haha. Abel was rescued and a very young pup and has lived in an apartment his whole life. He is acclimated to apartment living, but I know he’d just love to have a yard and/or friends to play and roam with.

How will Abel receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Abel, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Abel's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Abel was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Abel’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Abel’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Abel’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
