Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/ ** Dolly Pawton is1 of a litter of 7 Siberian Huskies that were born May 22. They are all smart, very social, affectionate and a lot of fun. They learned the dog door by the time they were 8 weeks old. Although they are not totally sure about going outside to do their "business", they are very good about using pee pads. Dolly is one of the smallest weighing just under 4-1/2# at 8 weeks of age. Her ideal owner should have experience with Huskies as they often can require extra training, mental stimulation, and extensive amounts of physical exercise than more sedentary breeds. Huskies also are heavy shedders and require frequent brushing to maintain a beautiful coat. Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more) - not just until her puppy cuteness wears off. You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Like most puppies, she may chew on anything within her reach to include but not limited to baseboards, shoes, socks, children's toys, electrical cords, plants, etc. Her adoption fee is $300. This includes her spay surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccinations, Bravecto®, Drontal® Plus, Tri-Heart® Plus Chewable Tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org. Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references, and criminal histories. Our adoption events are held every other Saturday at Petco located in the Northwoods Shopping Center at 18138 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio TX 78232. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Dolly Pawton was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Dolly Pawton’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Dolly Pawton’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Dolly Pawton’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
