About this Dog
** This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX. Prospective adopters must be able to travel to San Antonio to complete the adoption process. Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/ ** Belle is a beautiful 5-year-old German Shepherd who weighs approximately 75 pounds. She only wants to be with her person. She was an emotional support dog for her original owner - we are not to sure why she was surrendered to a high kill shelter on the Texas/Mexico border. Belle know sit, shake and down. She lives with other dogs but really wants to be the only dog. She did well with meeting the cats at the vet clinic. Belle has been diagnosed with heartworm infection and has already been treated for the heartworm infection with the fast kill method. She should test negative on his next retest in 6 months. Belle also did test positive for anaplasmosis which is a bacteria infection caused by a tick bite and she has done a 30-day course of doxycycline. Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Her adoption fee is $150. This includes her spay surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart® Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org. Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references. Adopt Belle and Receive Belle's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Belle's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Belle's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Belle, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Belle's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Belle was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Belle’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Belle’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Belle’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
