About this Dog

This is Maple ❤️ I found her running around my neighborhood right before our last big freeze. Animal control wasn’t able to get her- so I spent several hours getting her comfortable enough to come into my garage. She had scabbing and hair loss on her face that I thought was mange and I knew she needed medical attention. Animal control came and got her and took her to the shelter where she was vaccinated and checked out- she had 2 skin scrapings to check for mange that both came back negative. The Vet thinks she may have been burned on her face 😭 We were pretty attached by the time she went to the shelter and I knew I wanted to try and adopt her if she did okay with my animals. In the shelter, they said she sat in a corner and wouldn’t get up. She never barked. She would lick me and get excited when I would visit but she was very very scared when she was by herself. It took a couple days for her to feel comfortable enough at my house to show her personality ❤️ She’s been with me for a week now- and she is SUCH a sweet girl! Shes learning her name and how to sit. She loves to play fetch and she gives ALL. THE. KISSES. She does well in her crate when she can see me and sleeps in there through the night. She tries to play with my senior dog but my dog is grumpy and snarls and snaps at her. Maple doesn’t get aggressive at all- but my dog definitely doesn’t want anything to do with her. She also barks at my cat- I think it’s out of curiosity or fear bc my cat has definitely hissed at her a few times. After a LOT of tears- I’ve realized that I cannot be Maples forever home. My animals are not adjusting well to her being here and she needs more time and training than I am able to invest right now. I am absolutely heartbroken and I do not want her to end up at the shelter. I know most shelters are euthanizing daily for space and the thought of Maple being put down simply for space makes me ill. She would absolutely THRIVE in a home with a dog that wants to play or no dogs and she’d be great with kids. I was not looking to adopt or foster but I couldn’t leave her in the cold. I’m so thankful to have been able to give her a warm place to sleep and to get healthy and be loved on - and if it wasn’t for the animals I already have, I’d keep her with ZERO hesitation. Maple is about 8 months old. She’s been spayed and has had all her vaccinations. She is on flea/tick and heartworm meds. Her face is getting better every single day and her hair is starting to grow back in the places it’s missing. The rescues I’ve spoken to are maxed out and have no space. She needs a foster or a home. Or a rescue with space!! She deserves to be loved on in a home with people who have the time to invest in her. I want her to have a happy and healthy life. She is so sweet and so so affectionate.

Adopt Maple and Receive Dogecoin

How will Maple receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Maple, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Maple's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Maple was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Maple’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Maple’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Maple’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
