About this Cat
We feed stray cats in our neighborhood and recently (April 8th) noticed a male Tuxedo (which looked like a neighbors cat a few doors down, however it appears they moved out and did not take him with them) had gotten in a pretty bad cat fight and was bleeding in and around his neck area. Thankfully, he’s one that would let us pet and hold him so we crated him up and took him to our veterinarian. Our suspicion was correct that he had gotten in a bad fight and had puncture wounds that had become infected. Our veterinarian cleaned up his wounds, flushed them out and gave him a round of antibiotics. We didn’t want to release him back into the neighborhood until he was fully recovered so we purchased a couple of large kennels to hold him. He recovered from his injuries beautifully within a few weeks so we decided to take him to get neutered and vaccinated. While there he was tested for FIV and tested positive. We are assuming he became infected due to the fight he got into weeks before but can’t be certain. Also, we were informed he’s about 3-4 years old currently. We would love to keep him for ourselves but he doesn’t do well around our little Parti-Yorkie and eleven other indoor cats. We’ve been searching for a no kill shelter or foster to take him so he can enjoy the remainder of his days in a caring and loving environment and it appears you check all our boxes. Please let us know if you can help or know of someone that can, we would really appreciate it.

Adopt Sir Whiskers and Receive Sir Whiskers's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sir Whiskers's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$6 is Sir Whiskers's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Sir Whiskers, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Sir Whiskers's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sir Whiskers was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sir Whiskers’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Sir Whiskers’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sir Whiskers’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
