About this Dog
Nicole’s story began in the woods of Harris County, where she gave birth to her puppies—pregnant, alone, and doing everything she could to protect them. Eventually, she started to trust a person she thought would help her. Instead, she and her newborn pups were taken to the county pound—where, in Houston, that’s often a one-way trip for a momma dog and her litter. That is not rescue. Nicole ended up on the euthanasia list, likely only spared because she was still nursing her pups. We got to her just in time, and now she and her babies are safe, loved, and thriving in foster care. Nicole is about 40–45lbs, with soft light brown fur and the most soulful eyes. She’s incredibly gentle and sweet with people and loves being around children. She gives the softest kisses and wags her tail with quiet joy, as if to say thank you for every bit of kindness. She’s still learning how to walk on a leash, but she’s catching on quickly and enjoys her short strolls. She’s tidy in her crate, calm in the home, and is soaking up every ounce of love and comfort she’s never known before. One of her favorite things? Cuddling up with her pups while soft instrumental music plays—they all fall asleep together, finally able to rest knowing they are safe. Nicole has poured her heart into raising her babies. Now it’s her turn to be someone’s baby. Foster or adopt Nicole, and give this gentle, grateful momma the life she’s always deserved.

Adopt Nicole and Receive Nicole's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Nicole's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Nicole's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Nicole, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Nicole's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Nicole was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Nicole’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Nicole’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Nicole’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
