DOB 6/1/24 Hey there, everyone! I’m Palette, a sweet, friendly, calm, and gentle calico whose gorgeous patches of peach and black on white reminded Foster Meowmy of an artist’s palette. Although I don’t jump on her lap, I do seek out Foster Meowmy’s attention and luxuriate when she scratches my ears, chin, and cheeks or gently strokes my back. When I was about five or six months old, I started showing up as a stray at Meowmy’s house and was thrilled when she started feeding me. She greeted me with such kind words that I knew I could trust her. Eventually I became brave enough to claim the back patio as my refuge from the dogs and cars in the front yard. Whenever she came out back, I would come up to greet her and invite her to pet me. The inevitable happened, however, and when she realized that I was pregnant, she scooped me up and brought me inside to stop the cycle of more stray cats and kittens in her neighborhood. When I was about ten months old, I birthed my #artist-colony litter of five kittens in the safe haven of my foster home. I’ve been an exemplary teenage momma – attentive, protective, and easygoing. I’m still young myself, though, so I enjoy interactive playtime when Foster Meowmy waves the wand toy over my head or snakes it around the room for me to chase. I even display my soccer skills when I bat my stuffed toys around the room. Sometimes I join my kits in their playing and chasing. I’d say that I definitely deserve and cherish moments during the day when I can grab my quiet time away from my kittens. Now that I’ve permanently retired from motherhood, I’m ready to bring my friendly poise and cheerful calmness to my forever family.
