About this Dog

Good evening, I was given your information from Operation Kindness I am writing to you for some help. Let me explain. I have pet sit this boy for off and on for almost 4 years. I would go to his house and hang out with Beau, I have never had an issue with him, no accidents in the house, never has after torn up anything. His mom got him from a shelter 6-7 years ago. He is now 8. Now the issue. Her husband took a new job in Florida, and they cannot take him with them, they have 2 kids the son just graduated, and the girl is 14 now so Beau has been around young kids for years. So, I took him to keep him out of the shelter, like I said he has been a great dog, and I do absolutely love him, that is what makes this so hard. I had them get all his shots updated before I bought him to my house. I have a 12-year dog that is my world since I lost my mom in February @ 93 this year. Beau does not like Ranger I also have cats in and outside. But I catch them get them fixed and let them back outside have I know they are completely healed. Now I do believe that if Beau had been socialized this would not be the case and it is not fair for me to keep him in a kennel all day while I am at work. He was used to going in and all during the day. I need to surrender him to a rescue. I cannot keep him, and I may have to move to an apartment soon or move out of state due to my mom's estate that will end up in probate. I can provide this heartworm pills for the next 6 months, and I will have food send over once a month so you would not be out any extra money I know that sounds awful but I also know being in the rescue field your resources tend to get stretched thin and I would like to help out in any way I can. I will continue to sponsor Beau I just need him to be safe, that is my top priority. He will do best 1 pet household, till he can be socialized more. We have almost master walking on a leash. I do know that some people get animals and just can't make that 15 year plus commitment, I am not that person, but my top priority is to keep my group safe and that Beau is with a family that understands he's great just needs a bit of help. I can give you reference on how I treat my babies, and you are more than welcome to call my Vet and speak with them I appreciate your time Sherri L May

How will Beau receive the contribution?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Beau, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Beau's contribution here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Beau was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Beau’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Beau’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Beau’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
