She has endured a difficult past, but today, she radiates beauty, strength, and sweetness. This sweet girl was once confined to a backyard and used solely for breeding. Her life was filled with neglect and abuse, but she’s a fighter who has overcome it all. Nova’s journey to recovery was not an easy one. She came to us in poor condition, needing immediate surgery for a half-torn ear, an infected tail (which was sadly bobbed), and treatment for heartworms. Despite everything she’s been through, Nova has shown nothing but love and trust. She’s now healthy, happy, and living life to the fullest. Nova is a total nanny dog and thrives around children. She loves being part of the family and enjoys all the affection she can get. After morning walks, she settles down with a calm, content energy, and she absolutely adores sunbathing in the warmth of the sun. Nova is currently in her foster home, where she’s been showered with love and stability that she’s never known before. She is estimated to be about seven years old, and in the prime of her life, Nova walks like a dream on a leash and loves spending time with people. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Nova was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Nova’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Nova’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Nova’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
