About this Cat
Gorgeous! Cream-colored, with tabby markings and splashes of bright orange. Enchanting green eyes, and whiskers that go from there to back again! Soft purr, small body, big personality! Her name, Taika, is Maori for "tiger". Taika is a cautious adventurer. She's interested in exploring new spaces but takes her time to see it all. Taika was an excellent mama to her 4 kittens and is now living her own best life and ready for someme-time. She loves affection and will ask for pets with a soft meow, then rub up against her human. Taika hasn't walked into a lap, but she's stayed there, content, when picked up and placed there. Initially shy, once she gets to know you, Taika is a gentle and affectionate companion. She has excellent manners with food and litter boxes and uses her scratching post. Her meows for attention and purrs for appreciation are soft and sweet. She does not, however, like to be in a carrier, and will protest. But open the carrier door and she’s over it. Taika became great friends with her foster-friend, a 2-yr old male cat. She was less happy with other female cats in her foster home. Taika would thrive as a single cat in a quieter household or with older, gentle kids, or another calm and chill kitty (probably male). If you are ready to bring home a beautiful and peaceful companion, who appreciates your attention without a lot of fuss, then Taika is ready too.

100% of Taika's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Taika.
Adopt Taika and Receive Taika's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Taika's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Taika's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Taika, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Taika's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Taika was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Taika’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Taika’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Taika’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
