About this Dog
Baxter was found abandoned near the Ennis American Legion post in late October. His foster took him into their home for protection from the two nights of freezing temperatures expected. They took him to a vet in hopes a microchip might reunite him with his family. Good news is he was chipped! Bad news is, when the vet reached his previous family, they declined to claim him. But that means a new start for this sweet guy! His fosters had him thoroughly examined, ensured his vaccinations were updated, and started Baxter on Heartguard and Nextguard. He is very sweet, estimated at about 2 years old, 63 lbs, neutered, apparently house trained, very friendly and smart. After two weeks of slow integration, he and his 3 foster sibling dogs share backyard playtime and get along fabulously. In just two weeks he is learning to walk gently on leash; has already learned “sit”; and “stop/sit/stay” at intersections on his walkies. He loves people and wants to spend time with both his human friends and canine buddies. He’s an active dog, and due to his size small children might be overwhelmed; and to continue his training he probably needs an experienced dog owner. If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Baxter is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.

Adopt Baxter and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Baxter's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Baxter's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Baxter, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Baxter's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Baxter was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Baxter’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Baxter’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Baxter’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
