About this Dog
Simon is very outgoing, probably the most outgoing. He is VERY playful and loves everyone. He does well with cats and is friendly with other dogs. His foster home has children (ages 13, 9, and 6) and he does well with all of them. Simon loves to be held and snuggled, he loves to run and play chase, and he loves toys and bones. He is very active and will do best in a home with a yard large enough for him to run and with a family that will take him on walks. He is well socialized with his littermates, and he will do well being socialized with other friendly dogs from a young age. He plays with our cats, and will do well with cats as he gets older if he is around them often enough to not be overly excited when he sees one. Simon has a less dominant disposition than some of the other puppies, and he is not aggressive. Simon is too busy loving life to be aggressive. He's the Matthew McConaughey of puppies - Alright, Alright, Alright! The 8 puppies that we found (our neighbors found #9 and kept her) are fed together, and none of them are food aggressive. There was a little food aggression when we first brought them home, but we've had them for over a month now, and they realize that there is enough food for everyone, so the aggression that was displayed by a couple of them has stopped completely. Having gotten to know him individuality since he's been with us, we feel like his name should have been Squirrel, but we've been calling him Simon for 3+ weeks, so we've not changed it. We do call him by both names though. A new family can obviously change it to whatever they feel is fitting, but my heart says Squirrel for some reason - it's more fitting to his slightly spastic disposition! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Simon is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.

Adopt Simon GDP and Receive Simon GDP's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Simon GDP's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Simon GDP's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Simon GDP, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Simon GDP's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Simon GDP was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Simon GDP’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Simon GDP’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Simon GDP’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
