About this Dog
Bowie is incredibly sweet and loving, always happy to see you with a wiggle of his tail (butt wiggle included). He is almost 5, and was born sometime in October of 2020. He is great with other animals, has had two dog siblings, and a cat sibling. Wonderful with kids, absolutely adored my niece. He loves walks and car rides, but knows the words so be careful when you say them! He'll get those little feet tippy-tapping and then you're basically committed because who can say no. He is not super food motivated, but does enjoy treats and can sit and stay (but that's the extent of his command training). Honestly, the best thing I can say about Bowie is that he is Just Happy to Be Included. Whether it's with other dogs, or with his people. Very social and chill, no storm or separation anxiety. Will absolutely do a flop and let you rub his belly until your hand cramps and falls off. Seriously, it's his favorite. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment). Bowie is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Bowie GDP was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Bowie GDP’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Bowie GDP’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Bowie GDP’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
