About this Dog
Dahlia is a loving, loyal, and very goofy girl. She is always down to play with her favorite toys, a racquet ball or tennis ball, squeaky stuffed animals or a cardboard box, she just loves to play with you. She also loves to run so a yard is a must. At night after a long walk, she loves to cuddle on the couch and sleep until it's time for bed. Dahlia was adopted July 2022 and was a little over a year old, so i think her birthday is about June 2021. She is anxious around other dogs so would need to be the only one in the house, but I think with time and training, it's fixable. She was attacked so she is skeptical of unfamiliar dogs. She has never been around a cat so i'm not sure how she would react around them. As for children, smaller children make her nervous since they're so close to her face and she can get a little over excited and jumpy so it's best to have older kids in a house. Dahlia now knows sit, down, stay(sometimes), still learning "come" but she loves learning, and weighs in at a svelte 52 lbs. Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Dahlia is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Dahlia GDP was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Dahlia GDP’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Dahlia GDP’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Dahlia GDP’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
