Meet Sebastian! Sebastian came to us as a very scared little kitten who wasn’t comfortable with people or much of anything in the world except other cats. While in foster care, he has blossomed into a complete lovebug. He is the type of cat who will follow you around for attention and absolutely loves being petted. However, he gets so excited about getting love that he prefers to walk around you while you’re petting him rather than being held. He’s also quite clumsy for a cat, so it’s often up to the person to ensure he doesn’t fall off whatever he’s on! When greeting other cats, Sebastian doesn’t just do the polite sniff and say hello; he runs his whole body against their face, nose to butt, before continuing on with his day. He loves (or attempts to love) every other cat he meets and has even helped some of our less cat-friendly fosters start accepting other cats in their space. Sebastian is very bonded to one of our other fosters, Sepia, so we will only be adopting the two out together. When Sepia was out of the house for a few days, even with plenty of other cats to play with, Sebastian spent the entire time lying in one of her favorite sleep spots. He didn’t even get up for wet food, and he’s usually one of the first ones waiting in line for breakfast and dinner. If he wakes up and isn’t sure where Sepia is, he starts making sad, lost kitten mews. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sebastian's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sebastian was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sebastian’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Sebastian’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sebastian’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
