About this Dog
LEO is a gorgeous mixed-merle Aussie who is a poster boy for the breed: athletic, intelligent, loyal and lovable. Leo loves to play frisbee and fetch tennis ball. He loves water and has spent a lot of time outdoors by the lake. Leo Also loves bright sunny days; he’ll relax on porch for hours until we make him come in! Leo loves to explore and roam free in large safe spaces; while we require a safe, high fenced yard Leo has been trained with recall and once settled with his new family will be great off-leash when out hiking or running around on acreage. Leo is the best car rider ever! We have a 4Runner so our back window rolls down and he will just sit and watch all the cars. We have made probably 20-30 trips back and forth from Dallas to Tyler and he is awesome! Leo is highly intelligent, he knows several basic commands. He takes great directions, he’ll bring you ball to your hand and sit and wait until you tell him to go. Leo will respond eagerly to learning new commands and tricks because he loves to please his people. Leo is a huge lover boy. He will cuddle you for hours up until you make him get down and then he will be sad with you. HAHA. Leo is true to Aussomeness of the breed and will follow you wherever you go. Leo also LOVES to play with other dogs; he has female dog-cousins he loves to play with and he welcomes new high-energy similar-sized canine companions. We are helping to find a new home for Leo because he is a RARE young male dog who seems to have developed minor insecurity/anxiety since he was neutered last year. DASH has consulted with 3 vets at different practices who concur that this is extremely uncommon; neutering usually helps those issues dissipate. This isn’t his family’s fault at all and they’re heartbroken to rehome him. They have 4 & 6 year old boys and “Leo 2.0” isn’t as comfortable around the kids as he was before. When we help rehome dogs the odds are astronomically in their favor for an environment change to be a ReSet on life. The good qualities remain but anxiety, insecurity and other similar behaviors are quelled once the dog Begins a New Forever. We rarely place Aussies with young children or homes with routinely visiting grandchildren; we are seeking a home where Leo gets to Be The Kid and preferably one where he has a dog-buddy or sister dog to play and chill with. We also look for stable homeowners, recent empty-nesters who don’t have grandkids yet and a 21st Century Favorite: millennials and older Gen-Zs who don’t have and don’t want human kiddos The Dogs are the Kids! Adopt Leo and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Leo's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Leo's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Leo, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Leo's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Leo was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Leo’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the Leo’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Leo’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
