About this Dog

Veldor and his brother, Khonsu, were six months when we adopted them. They were at risk of being sent to a shelter by an acquaintance of my mother. They recently turned one (birthday is February 18, 2023) and unfortunately, we were cited for being over the limit of dogs we're allowed to have. Rather than send Veldor to a shelter to be euthanized, we'd prefer he be rehomed. He has a bald spot on his head and exposed skin on the side of his neck due to being bullied by his brother (yes, his brother was neutered and still had bouts of aggression). Furthermore, Veldor attacked at least two of our pups on separate occasions, one had a sprained leg and has since been rehomed, and the other - he bit into her head, she was swollen, but has healed, and unfortunately was taken to the shelter (we had no choice in the matter). He nearly got into another one of our pups too - he flung off his muzzle, but I managed to hold him back. Veldor gets on well with our other bigger dogs, and played with another one of our smaller pups, so he most likely is selective. He is not aggressive towards humans - the most he'll do is bark, and keep his distance, but I'd still take precautionary measures. He is also an escape artist - he and his brother chewed through our fence, and when that was fixed, he jumped over the fence using the rock wall. He is not trained, nor is he neutered or up - to date on vaccines - we failed him, I am fully aware, but our funds are low due to a divorce occurring between my mother and her future ex, but we will try to get it done. He can be the sweetest, he's so smart and has a lot of life left to live, so please take a chance on him and do better than we have.

Adopt Veldor and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Veldor's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Veldor receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Veldor, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Veldor's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Veldor was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Veldor’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Veldor’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Veldor’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
