Dog adoption in Crandall, TX, 75114 Black mouth cur mix Dog "Lady"

Lady is a sweet, affectionate young dog who genuinely enjoys people and has lived successfully with both dogs and cats. She is social, playful and very attached to the people she trusts. She has never shown aggression toward people or animals in my care.

Lady has been with me as a foster for approximately 5 months. During that time, she has struggled with significant fear and anxiety, particularly surrounding environmental noises. More recently, she has experienced a substantial regression that includes pacing, panting, whining, difficulty settling, reluctance to eliminate outside and becoming overwhelmed outdoors. There are also concerns that some of what we are seeing may have a neurological component, although she has not yet received a professional neurological evaluation.

Her placement is now urgent because I need to move and, due to my housing situation, I can only take two of my three personal dogs with me. I am not able to continue fostering Lady long term, and I am trying very hard to find an appropriate placement rather than simply moving her from one temporary home to another.

Lady is not a dog I believe should be placed into a typical adoptive home without support. She needs an experienced, patient placement capable of providing stability, decompression and appropriate behavioral and veterinary evaluation. Despite her challenges, she remains loving, social and deserving of an opportunity to find an environment where she can feel safe and function successfully.
