This stunning girl has been waiting 907 days in foster care for her forever family—yes, you read that right. Over two years of tail wags, zoomies, and waiting patiently for someone to see the gem she truly is.Lucy is 2.5 years old, around 90 pounds of love and goofiness, and she’s fully vetted and spayed. She’s the life of the party when it comes to other dogs her size—she’s playful, submissive, and always down for a good romp or a splash in the water. Her zoomies are legendary, her snuggles are relentless, and her sass is unmatched. She’s known to talk back (in the funniest ways) and snack hard. Basically, she’s the full entertainment package.She has a high prey drive, which makes her an enthusiastic lizard chaser and a definite “no” for homes with cats or pocket-sized pups. Lucy’s got moves—think pounce, leap, repeat—and you might just suspect there’s a bit of wild creature mixed into her genes. (Luckily, we have her DNA results on file to confirm or debunk your theories.)Lucy is great with kids aged 5 and up, especially the ones who appreciate her energetic play style and fabulous fashion sense. She even gets seasonal pawdicures from the young humans in her foster home—because a girl has to match her vibe to the holiday, right?She’s housetrained, crate trained, and still working on mastering the art of the leash. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lucy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lucy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Lucy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lucy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
