About this Dog
LOCATION: Trinity, ALDOB: 06/12/2018Meet Moose, a senior Great Dane with the soul of a puppy and a heart full of love. Despite his age, Moose brings boundless energy, a playful spirit, and the kind of joy that makes every day brighter. He’s the kind of dog who thinks he's the size of a lapdog and would happily spend the entire day glued to your side, leaning in for love and following you from room to room like your oversized shadow.Moose is a big boy with an even bigger personality. He’s great with other dogs, sharing food and space without a fuss, and while he hasn’t been cat-tested, there's nothing to suggest he wouldn’t do just fine. His interactions with a toddler went well for a short visit, but given his size and energy, a home with older children or dog-savvy kids would likely be a better fit. He’s potty trained and free-feeds without issue, and while leash walking is still a work in progress, he’s making strides. Moose loves to go for walks and is especially excited when it’s time for a car ride or a visit to grandma’s—though he does think the front seat belongs to him and will climb into your lap if allowed. We're working on his car manners, but for now, it's all part of his goofy charm.Moose is just now discovering how fun playtime can be. He’s learning to bounce around with his foster siblings and is showing more of his silly side every day. He doesn’t jump up to greet people often, but every once in a while, he’ll surprise you with a spontaneous hug. With some continued guidance and structure, he’s showing he’s eager to please and capable of learning. He’s mastered sit and lay down, and we’re currently working on stay. Pointing to his bed with an empty paper towel roll has become the universal sign that it’s time to settle down—and it works like a charm. While Moose can come on strong when meeting new animals, it’s more enthusiasm than aggression, and it's often the other pets who aren’t quite ready for his exuberant greetings. With slow introductions and patient leadership, he finds his rhythm and settles in beautifully. He may have a few gray hairs, but Moose's spirit is pure puppy. He runs, he plays, and he grins from ear to ear, reminding everyone that age is just a number. He thrives on routine, loves affection, and is looking for a home where he can be adored, guided with kindness, and included as one of the family.Moose is ready to bring laughter, love, and just the right amount of chaos to a home that embraces his big heart and bigger personality. If you're looking for a joyful, loyal, slightly oversized best friend—Moose is your guy.Note: SRGDRR adopts nationwide and offers transport options to help you find your perfect match! Adopt Moose and Receive Moose's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Moose's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Moose's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Moose, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Moose's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Moose was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Moose’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Moose’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Moose’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
