LOCATION: Yukon, OKDOB: 10/16/2023Meet Myla, a stunning merle Great Dane mix with a heart as beautiful as her coat. One look at her mismatched ears—one flopped over, one perked halfway up—and you’ll understand why everyone who meets her stops to comment on how striking she is. But Myla’s beauty isn’t just skin deep. She’s a sweet, goofy, love-filled pup who’s still learning the magic of slowing down and snuggling up.Myla is pure energy and joy. Zoomies are her specialty—morning, noon, and night—and she would thrive in a home that gives her the space and freedom to run, play, and explore. She absolutely adores her fur foster sister and spends hours wrestling, chasing, and playing. She’s also gentle and loving with her human foster siblings, ages five and seven, and is wonderfully patient and affectionate with them.Though she’s still learning to relax and settle, Myla loves being near her people. Whether she’s curled up on the couch with a bone or following you from room to room, she’s happiest when she’s close. Her eyes say it all—full of love and always watching you, eager to make you smile.She’s crate trained, housebroken, and rides well in the car. Leash walking is still a work in progress, but she’s improving every day. Myla can be a little mouthy, as puppies tend to be, but it’s all in play, and with consistent training, she’s learning how to channel that energy appropriately.Myla is easygoing and social, friendly with everyone she meets. She does great with medium to large dogs who can match her energy and play style, though she isn’t suited for a home with small dogs, and cats remain a mystery. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Myla was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Myla’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Myla’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Myla’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
