LOCATION: Weiser, IDDOB:01/24/2022Meet Luna – a stunning, speckle-eared Great Dane mix with a heart as big as her paws. She's about 3 years old, spayed, and has left her Lonoke Jail days behind for a life of soft blankets and cheese sticks. Luna was adopted but is being returned through no fault of her own—she’s simply not comfortable around young kids and needs a calmer, quieter home.Luna is a sensitive soul with a bit of a fearful streak, so she’s looking for someone patient and gentle who can help her build confidence. She gets along well with other animals—cats, chickens, and dogs alike—though she prefers dogs who respect her stuffie collection. Loud noises and chaotic environments overwhelm her, so a peaceful home with minimal commotion is exactly what she needs.This girl is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and loves a good car ride. She’s high energy and will zoomie in the yard one minute, then snuggle on the couch like it’s her full-time job. She’s a certified Velcro dog—never too far from her person—and she tilts her head in the cutest way when you sing her name.Luna has a few quirks (don’t we all?): she may try to eat your snacks when you're not looking, she thinks baths are a maybe, and fireworks are definitely a no. But wrap her in a blanket, give her a pup cup and a movie night, and you’ll have a best friend for life.Luna would do best in an adult-only home or with calm teens, and she’s been fine with older folks—just mind the excited “hello” jumps at first. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Luna was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Luna’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Luna’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Luna’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
