LOCATION: Newnan, GADOB: 04/23/2022Meet Honey, a stunning brindle Great Dane with a heart as sweet as her name. She’s the definition of a loyal shadow—wherever you go, she’s close behind, ready to supervise every step of your daily routine, from brushing your teeth to taking out the trash. She’s a total cuddlebug on the couch, always ready to curl up next to you for a movie night or sneak in a paw hug when the petting stops too soon.But Honey isn’t just a snuggle queen—take her outside and she transforms into a joyful blur of zoomies, happy hops, and grass-rolling acrobatics. She adores her time in the yard, especially when there’s room to run and a breeze to lift her ears.Honey has a soft spot for car rides, especially when they end with a pup cup, and she gets along beautifully with other large dogs. She tends to be a little bouncy and eager in those first excited minutes, but quickly settles into a good rhythm with her playmates. Her foster cat brother adores her, and the feeling is mutual—snuggles, kisses, and all. While she hasn't lived with small dogs or kids, she’s gentle with teens and very respectful of her surroundings.A few quirks from her days as a stray still linger—she can’t resist the temptation of an open trash can or a mystery smell in the grass, and she’ll need a secure yard and some watchful supervision outside. She’s learning to trust that meals are guaranteed, and with that security, her scavenger instincts have already begun to fade. She may give a polite “woof” at new visitors, but warms up quickly and never jumps or acts aggressively. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Honey's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Honey was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Honey’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Honey’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Honey’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
