About this Dog
Jettie is in a foster home in San Antonio. She would love to travel to the PNW to a foster or adopter. This sweet two-year-old Shar Pei girl is looking for her forever home! Shar Peis are known for being intelligent, calm, clean, and dignified dogs with low grooming needs. According to her Texas foster mom, Jettie is an incredibly sweet and the perfect companion. Jettie was sadly abandoned, possibly due to needing surgery for a condition called cherry eyes, but she has since had successful surgery and is thriving. She loves playing with the resident dog in her foster home and is a great addition to any household. Jettie is house and crate trained, walks well on a leash, and is a healthy 37-pound, two-year-old girl. She’s spayed, fully vetted, and heartworm negative, with regular prevention. Her rescuer says, "Jettie has been around a 7-year-old, but not a child as young as 3. She has been perfect around the 7-year-old. She sits to be petted and is very patient and loving. She has NEVER shown any signs of aggression, even when we do something she doesn’t like - going to the vet, getting a bath. She does bark loudly when someone comes to the door, so she is a good watch dog, but when they come in, she is fine. We’ve had out-of- town company stay with us, and I host mahjong, and she loves everyone and everyone loves her. She loves other dogs but will lunge and get excited to see them on walks (she is strong) and sometimes scares other dogs. She overall just likes to explore the yard, nap inside, and sometimes gets the zoomies. She is fine being left alone, not crated, doesn’t chew or destroy anything. Doesn’t get on furniture unless you tell her it’s okay. She has never had an accident in the house. She also plays nicely with her dog foster sibling that is just a bit larger than her" Jettie's adoption fee is $550 and includes her transport to the PNW, her vaccinations, microchip and spay. 100% of the fee goes to her care. 100% of Jettie's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Jettie.
Adopt Jettie and Receive Jettie's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Jettie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Jettie's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Jettie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Jettie's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Jettie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Jettie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Jettie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Jettie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
