About this Guinea Pig
Weâre social creatures, so having a guinea pig buddy means weâre happier and healthier. Weâll spend our days munching on fresh timothy hay, napping, crunching on veggies and timothy pellets, more napping, snuggling with our friends, and creating our signature âwheekâ sounds when weâre excited. We need one cup of veggies per day which includes leafy greens like romaine lettuce, red and green leaf lettuces, arugula, cilantro, kale, carrot tops, parsley, and bell peppers.Our cozy cages should be spacious, with bedding to keep our feet comfy and a water bottle to quench our thirst. Weâll need daily playtime, tooâwhether itâs hopping around a playpen or exploring tunnels, we love keeping active and curious. And donât forget regular nail trims to keep us feeling our best.We love to see what our people are up to! We like to be in places of where we get a lot of interaction time in with our humans. Our average lifespan is 5 to 8 years.I came in with my best friend Oreo A926393 . For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and PUMPKIN was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, PUMPKIN’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the PUMPKIN’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, PUMPKIN’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
