About this Dog
Cobalt lived a quiet, routine, predictable life as an only pet, a very loyal one for about the last 5 years. He's very house trained, never had accidents at home, and was able to stay alone when his people were gone for 4-8 hours. He's never destructive. He was a big baby cuddle bug with his own set of toys. Then the bottom fell out when Cobalt's person had to move to a special facility and with no options for Cobalt, had to bring him back to the same shelter he started in five long years ago.The transition back into shelter life was tough, it's so hard for an older dog to lose a stable home. Despite this he's been forever optimistic of everyone who passes by his kennel, that they've brought him a treat, a walk, or better yet, a pathway out of the shelter by offering a hand to go home. His brindle coat is stunning, he's fit, he's low-to-medium energy and healthy. Cobalts fans see him daily and help him cope with shelter life and it's very sad to watch him have to sleep and wake up in a small indoor/outdoor kennel every night surrounded by 40 other dogs with just the comforts of a blanket or small bed we can offer him. We would like for him to return to home comforts without further delay. No dog should have to endure so much time over their life in a shelter. He's advocated for by his many friends and fans including Orange Dot Crew and ClassicCaninesATX.
Contribute to COBALT's Stash!

100% of COBALT's balance will be sent to whoever adopts COBALT.
Adopt COBALT and Receive COBALT's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, COBALT's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is COBALT's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the COBALT, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming COBALT's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and COBALT was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, COBALT’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the COBALT’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, COBALT’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
